Obama's approval rating's are down since the election. Will he be reelected? What has he done wrong versus what has he done right? If we could redo the election, would you vote for someone else?

What if he pulls a rabbit out of a hat before the next election?

Um.............he's not even been in office for a year...
<I think the better question is: Will the Democrats hold congress in 2010? Thats much more interesting.>
I concur.
< not a chance, and you can quote me on it.>
Oh, come now. A laughable assertion. It's amazing how not ONE democrat here has said such a thing. What is it about Republicans that their fantasy and ideology comes before actual reality? Now, I'm not saying that this is only a Rep thing, but I AM saying that there seems to be a larger problem with cognitive dissonance with the more conservative person than with the more liberal, in my opinion.
<What is with you and the personal attacks? Have you no substance?>
And he was whining yesterday about someone 'attacking' him...

Nah, it's equal with any ideologue. It's part of the nature of being a partisan or ideologue.

Wed, November 4, 2009 - 12:53 PM<<Obama's approval rating's are down since the election. Will he be reelected?
Ther eis always a period where the honeymoon is over with newly elected presidents, so I don't think his current approval rating is a factor. Both Clinton and Reagan were two term presidents, and they had around the same or lower approval ratings at this point in their terms. -

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 1:04 PMIf the economy makes a significant recovery that reduces unemployment and and does not escalate the war I think he will be reelected by about the same margin as Clinton in 1996. If the economy gets worse and the Republicans don't nominate a teabag nutjob then all bets are off. -

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 2:19 PMI hope he gets re-elected just so one of Dan's friends can finally get one of their eligibility cases before a court. -

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 2:27 PMSo far I see no indication that the Republicans will forgo their extreme ideology and nominate someone who could win in the general election.
I think the better question is: Will the Democrats hold congress in 2010? Thats much more interesting.

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 2:30 PMYou know, I think approval ratings are crap. To many people elected him and figured that he could pull miracles out his ass once he stepped foot into the office. Hell, it's barely into his 1st year and he's gotta try to make heads or tails of what the last 8yrs F**ked up on top of his own campaign agendas. People aren't even giving the guy a chance, this isn't a dictatorship, he doesn't have that much power in office. Think about all the beaurocratic bullsh**t he's gotta wade through in order to get anything done. People need to stop depending on the government to bail them out and yet on the same hand stop gripping about the government being all up in your buisness.
It's to early to tell if he'll be re-elected but if I had to vote all over again, I'd still vote for him. Just image the cluster f**k it would be right now of McCain/Palin had been elected instead. -

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 3:03 PMThe thing with Obama, look, the guy is trying. And he is likable. And he has not made any big mistakes. If he stays on that course, he will cruise into re-election.

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Wed, November 4, 2009 - 7:59 PMHe will. The most interesting personality will win. All the hatred translates into more attention.
The Republicans will likely nominate some earnest boring guy like Mitt and Obama will beat him. -

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Thu, November 5, 2009 - 3:21 AMIt may well be that Orange County Republicans will set the trend.
After all, CA is a key litmus test for Change. And the Republican governerator is the main executor/executioner.

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Thu, November 5, 2009 - 1:21 AMApproval right now three years before the election is irrelevant. Three months is an eternity in presidential politics, much more three years.
In answer to your question, it depends on the economy three years from now. -

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Thu, November 5, 2009 - 12:51 PMIncreasingly, it looks like the recession has bottomed out.
If the economy is not better in 3 years, then Obama deserves to be voted out.

Re: Will Obama be reelected?
Thu, November 5, 2009 - 5:22 AMReally depends on the Republicans. Not only who they nominate, but whether dear hearts like Limbaugh and Palin are successful in ripping the GOP in two.
