as a working class person hearing her try to talk "folksy"

I got a taste of how it must feel for black americans to hear whites try to talk to them in ebonics in a deluded attempt to impress them.

    Joe six pack?

How condescending... it convinces me that she doesn't really even know any real working class people. A good percentage of the people I know who have multiple working class trades also have degrees, and many more are every bit as commited to continuing self education through life without a degree per se.

I'm almost insulted as if somehow talking to me like that is supposed to just get past my skepticism and say "oh, yeah, she's just like me and my freinds" as if it were that easy. What is she going to do in the next debate, enter the stage doing some appalachian style clogging dance to a banjo? Is she going to weare a John Deere trucker cap? Is she going to have her assistance bring out a large brass spitoon and chew Skoal so she can puntuate every time she finishes and answer with a "hhhhhrrrroooock slurp Puh Toing! sound.

Perhaps her husband can go as Joe Dirt for halloween, and she can dress as Minnie Pearle. Or maybe she'll start stumping on the Jerry Springer and Steve Wilco show and do a video with Kid Rock.

Please, it was pathetic. I'm picturing her and her advisors doing that song from Camelot "what do the simple folk do?"
