if only Bush went to class instead of those coked out frat parties, he'd remember that the quote he used was by REPUBLICAN Senator William Edgar Borah

Thu, May 15, 2008 - 8:31 PMLOL. . .sometimes I find myself laughing out loud at the absurdities. . .
the truth is they are pathetic, they are abysmal, they are deranged.
My laughter comes from from a state very near hysteria, when my mind
is boggled by the stupidity and moral bankruptcy of our leadership. . -

Sat, May 17, 2008 - 8:13 AMReductio Ad Hitlerium is almost always a sign that the arguer is close to the bottom of his bag of fallacies.
Really, I have to give W some credit for having taken so long to get there when it would have been an easy thing for him to do 4 years ago.
OTOH, the delay just shows how deeply he had packed his bag in the first place. -

It's kind of hard to talk about Hitler without mentioning his name. Like Dubya, Godwin and his Law have been a great boon to ignorance.
In a way, Borah's words are kind of quaint, reminding us there was a time when our senators had less faith in lobbyists and more faith in their own jawbones.
