it's kind of nice to see community at work. when some asshole criticizes the great minds for wasting time on important subjects like the death of michael jackson or palin's hemline, it's good to see the troops circle the wagons for a common cause.

actually, our problem is a consequence of affluence. but hey. screw it. clearly, there is no problem. and I was an ass for pointing it out.
it just seemed that there was a hint of interest about what was going on in Iran that lasted for about a week. and poof, it's gone.
and now the staff of the British embassy was arrested. but obviously, Michael Jackson's paternity issues are more important. and there was a significant military withdrawal in Iraq. but obviously the logistics for MJ's funeral is more pressing.
and the jobless figures from Thursday. screw that! the spat between Palin and Letterman is way more important.
I get it now. I should have known better than to shove my unwanted opinion into this den of enlightenment.

this tribe wasn't quite as insipid when you were moderator. and you had the benefit of a smarter membership. it's not D'zoner's fault by the way. it's been a slow decline over the better part of a year that accelerated under the last moderator. and now the tribe reads like a gossip column.
