JANIS: He's Muslim and that has a lot to do with it. I just, you know, I just would rather have Hillary.
SNOW: Just for the record he constantly says he's a Christian -
JANIS: I know he does.
SNOW: You don't believe him?
JANIS: No.
Ignorance at its finest. Ill be glad to say that any sign of intelligence is superior to this crap!

Tue, May 13, 2008 - 3:08 PMI strongly encourage all Barack Obama supporters to whine loudly about how racist everyone is who votes for Hillary Clinton! The superdelegates need to hear from you!! The world needs to know the truth!! -

Re: WV voter: I know he says hes Christian but i still think he's Muslim.
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 3:12 PMNobody mentioned the word racism, did they Corny? Except you - joining Clinton in the race baiting, I see.
The word home used was 'ignorant'. would you disagree.
I would actually have said 'willfully, agressively ignorant'. The Rethugs use slime tactics like the 'Obama is a Muslim' smear campaign because some people are so stupid it works with them... -

Re: WV voter: I know he says hes Christian but i still think he's Muslim.
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 7:55 PMwell cornel......obama picked up again 4 more super delegates today...clinton 0.
anyway.........this post is about the ignorance of some people who STILL think he is a muslim ....no one brought up his ethnic background.........except you........and it seems you are as ignorant as that wonderful person in WV by making a connection between being a muslim and ergo...that person must be black or brown. -

Tue, May 13, 2008 - 7:57 PMCome on we all know a black guy named Barack Obama is like public enemy #1 in fucking West Virginia.
I know a black guy who drove through there, said every time he stopped at a gas station or whatever, he got MAJOR attitude.
We all know the deal here. -

Re: WV voter: I know he says hes Christian but i still think he's Muslim.

This country needs to evolve before we become fossils! This ignorance is perpetuated by FOX news. They have reported lie after lie about Obama, and abused/ beaten the dead horse on any story they can get their hands on. People like Sean Hannity are using people's ignorance towards minorities and using it against them. Many of these people are religious. One of the many dangers of being a sheep lead by a fictitious character. -

Re: WV voter: I know he says hes Christian but i still think he's Muslim.
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 12:28 AMIn West Virginia in 1960, many refused to vote for JFK because, as a Catholic, he supposedly got explicit orders on all matters from the Pope and had to obey them to the letter.
Let's not make too much of this daffy woman.
<< I know a black guy who drove through there, said every time he stopped at a gas station or whatever, he got MAJOR attitude. >>
Um, I'm a Virginia hillbilly and I ALWAYS got "major attitude" in WV! The population is just flinty and suspicious of outsiders. Kind of like NJ only with cuter girls. -

That is exactly my point, Cornel and others need to stop screaming about race and realize that this is in part about education and access to information. The less fortunate have less access to information that is going to dispel myths like him being a Muslim.

Re: WV voter: I know he says hes Christian but i still think he's Muslim.
Wed, May 14, 2008 - 7:08 AMI would like to reiterate my previous encouragement to all supporters of Barack Obama, but due to the constructive feedback I have received, and also taking into consideration input on other threads in this tribe, I have come up with more elaborate guidelines:
(1) Whine loudly about how racist everyone is who votes for Hillary Clinton.
(2) Whine loudly about how stupid everyone is who votes for Hillary Clinton.
(3) Whine loudly about how people are still voting for Hillary Clinton despite the fact that everyone knows it is over, other than the people who are still supporting Hillary Clinton.
(4) Whine loudly about how racist everyone is who supports John McCain.
(5) Whine loudly about how racist and stupid everyone is in West Virginia, Kentucky and Puerto Rico.
(6) Whine loudly about how racist and evil the media are, except for when they fluffing Barack Obama's pillow for him.
(7) Whine loudly about how stupid and racist poor people are - unless they vote for Barack Obama.
(8) When in doubt - just continue to WHINE LOUDLY. -

Cornel, why would you encourage Race Baiting? It seems to me that your call for Race Baiting is Race Baiting in and of itself. -

That is a subjective impression that you have formed. It is not even well-formulated enough as a claim to verify it one way or another.

I decided that Jeff's claim is subject to verification at all. It turns out to be untrue:

Wed, May 14, 2008 - 1:03 PMI was not indicating number of threads, I was indicating number of times race is brought up, you bring it up in most threads regardless of if the topic is race or not. But I am open to to the idea of being wrong......you know, in the interest of bridging this party gap. -

The irony is that Christianity is incompatible with politics. You can't really be a Christian and a politician, or a voter. -

As you phase in and out of different versions of nonreality it is best to get your bearings before trying to engage in conversations. Most of the voices you are hearing are not real.
