The Obama public relations department, aka the Mainstream Media, has been pushing the line recently that the McCain folks are becoming disturbingly hostile. Why, oh why, can't those McCainsters be as level headed and civil as these good hearted Obamaites?

So you don't have a problem with "he's a terrorist" or "bomb obama" or "kill him" ?

Shouldn't sane people be angry over such comments?

Not that I take anything from Malkin or Fix Noise seriously.

Uh, yeah I do. I have a problem with ALL hate filled rhetoric. Do you only have a problem with such hate filled rhetoric when it comes from Republicans?

"Not that I take anything from Malkin or Fix Noise seriously. "

Oh, so if she copies something produced from someone else, it means it doesn't exist, since she copied it?

I like how folks around here religiously post crap from obviously biased left wing sources but then exclude out of hand something that's cited by someone on the other side, as if all biased sources on their side should be reflexively believed but nothing that comes from the other side should be believed at all, no matter how well sourced.

<I like how folks around here religiously post crap from obviously biased left wing sources >

Video footage is SO left wing! (referring to the hate being cuaght at the McPalin rallies)

As Colbert pointed out, reality has a liberal bias. Clearly, the only way to be balanced is for the righties to make up a bunch of shit and then have everyone pretend it's worth listening to.

"Video footage is SO left wing! "

Right, and the photos, direct quotes and artwork Malkin posted are so right wing

"As Colbert pointed out, reality has a liberal bias."

Well, there's an authority for ya

"make up a bunch of shit"

Right. Those photos and direct quotes were actually from a parallel dimension created by righties

<Right, and the photos, direct quotes and artwork Malkin posted are so right wing>

You're comparing apples and oranges, and more importantly, NOTHING that you are referring to was the result of Obama/Biden whipping up the level of hate and anger.

THAT is the point. Not that there are such hateful reps out there. We know that - no kidding!

The point is that your man McCain and his ethically challenged VP are taking specific steps to whip up a rage about Obama. 'That guy...'. You know, the black guy that's going to take away people's guns!!!

<He said that? I've now lost a tremendous amount of respect for him. Folks who hide behind their skin color to deflect criticism are cowards in my opinion>

Ron, have you really stopped thinking!? He OBVIOUSLY brought that up as a humorous way to himself simply TALK about race. You really are reacting. You're acting like all the people that you used to disparage.

<Again, exactly which of the photos she posted or direct quotations she quoted are false or "slanted?">

Not relevant. The whole conversation was not about racist Reps. It was about the anger fostered on us by the actions of McCain/Palin, AT their conventions or speeches.

Please find me ONE comment like that from a convention or a speech by Obama/Biden. Come on. Go find that, Ron.

              What? You can't?

Dude, you're rerally scraping. Malkin? Do you actually have an ounce of respect for this lunatic? Why not quote Anne Coulter too? The woman who called L.A. mayor Villaraigosa a "Latino Supremicist"? The one who published the home phone numbers of anti-war protesters in her blog (guess how many threats and hate-calls THEY got)? The woman who launched a crusade against Rachel Ray because she claimed a black-and white scarf she wore in a commercial looked too muich like a Palestinian kaffiyeh? THe woman who literally wrote a book defending the internment of the Japanese in WW2 and racial profiling in general? You like her, and want to hear her opnion, do you Ron?

Oh yeah, you're a moderate all right ... apparently the cente of the modern GOP is about at Pinochet's level.

And no, a cpouple of overheard comments are not equitable to the ridiculous attacks on Obama and whipping up the crowd that the McPalin campaign has been engaging in. People are saying the don't like Palin - guess what, I think she's a hateful bitch. That's not the same as accusing her of being a terrorist lover who hates America.

Hasn't the left been calling her an anti- American separatist. Not to mention all the attacks leveled against her children. Not to mention Obama's preemptive claim of racist attacks, on the eve of the primary

The left has pointed out the utter hypocracy of Palin attacking Obama for his association with Ayers, claiming he's not patriotic and all that other crap, and the whole "Country First" routine when she was palling around with Alaskan separtists who say the hate the U.S. - oh, and being married to one of them.

I know you don't care about hypocracy or integrity the slightest bit, but lots of folks still do.

And whether Bill Clinton was being racist or not has nothing to do with this topic - but then, it's not the first time you bring up race when it has nothing to do with being discussed. Gee, I wonder why that is...?

Look Kelly, we can either discuss the topic like adults, or we can just start insulting each other

Actually he was referring to the McCain campaign

"JACKSONVILLE, Florida (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him.

"It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy," Obama told a fundraiser in Jacksonville, Florida. "We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid.

They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"

Actually the hoopla over the AIP started when she first entered the race, around the same time people started to claim that she faked her last pregnancy

Oh, so it should be ignored because of the standard "They do it to!" defense, even though you seemed to be claiming that only the right does it

"I know you don't care about hypocracy or integrity the slightest bit, but lots of folks still do. "

I'm sure you were properly outraged by the hypocrisy of those on your side who piled on to the sex life of Palin's daughter after saying that the sex life of a Democratic politician himself is no one's business but his own.

"Dude, you're rerally scraping. Malkin? "

Shoot the messenger. Which stories that she linked do you claim are false?

She's no less credible a source than the bullshit from Daily Kos and Huffington Post plastered around here.

"And no, a cpouple of overheard comments"

Oh, so now those comments DO exist

" are not equitable to the ridiculous attacks on Obama and whipping up the crowd that the McPalin campaign has been engaging in"

Really? Do you have evidence that the hatemongering against Obama has been anything more than a few overheard comments?

"That's not the same as accusing her of being a terrorist lover who hates America"

You mean like the folks around here who claim that McCain is a terrorist himself?

The angry ones that count aren't wealthy, aren't privileged, aren't 'empowered', aren't lazy, aren't stupid, and aren't interested in financial games that involve risking Ks of $ on unethical futures trading. They had homes, and they trusted those in power - unwisely, sure, but not implicitly, and not religiously, but just sort of habitually - and now they have No Future.

They thought everything would go more or less as they were programed to think: work hard, save up, be loyal to your employer, and so on.

    Big surprise: now they're angry.

yes, the candidates aren't truly angry.

It's the anger of two pro wrestlers before the WWF match hamming it up that they really hate each other when they're like best buddies who spent hours rehearsing their throws on one another
