I was just wondering if any of the Obamicans here can update us on Obama's campaign pledge to take public financing if he becomes the nominee? I've heard that there has been some confusion on this point.

It would be stupid for Obama to give up the 300 milliion he will probably raise between now and November. Yes, he is reneging on a pledge. Any smart candidate would do the same thing.
Reneging on this one pledge is a small price to pay for the $$$ advantage he will have against McCain.

The public financing question has nothing to do with the primary race.
Its pretty crappy for all those Clinton supporters to try and now hurt Obama in the general election.

Obama is following the rules of McCain-Finegold campaign finance reform to the letter.

Like he was using it before he obtained an illegal bank loan and then when off it. Now if we just had a functioning FEC, which in the past McCain has called a total joke, they will be looking into his campaign.
There is this thing called NPR many of us lefty's seem to take the time to hear that they have to say you may find some things of interest if you do the same. -

Personally I prefer Pacifica - but most of them are solidly on the Obamican bandwagon, too.
