1) Osama bin Laden dead or captured - wishful thinking.
2) Iraq war won with combat troops home - moving toward the Democrat's position.
3) US and NATO still in Afghanistan - probably a given.
4) Progress on nuclear security - read: tough on Iran not the real threat of loose nukes in the old USSR.
5) Larger Army and Navy - Yeah, that's what we need.
6) No terrorist attacks - refer to #1
7) 4 years of healthy economy - #1 again
8) Two rate flat tax with "generous a deduction" - Giuliani's idea, needs more fleshing out.
9) No more "ear marks" - Yeah, that's going to happen.
10) PE as a way to bring down health care cost - nonsense
11) Raise premiums of upper income seniors to make Medicare solvent - has merit
12) Partial privatization of social security - nonstarter
13) 20 new nuclear power plants - tough one
14) Strict constructionist judges - goodbye Roe
15) Border security and prosecution of employers - probably won't happen
16) Temporary worker program - see #15
17) End of rovian partisanship - nice words, we'll see how the campaign goes
18) Weekly press conferences - good idea if he actually says something
19) UK type exchange with congress - there's an idea I could get behind

"If I'm elected president the era of the permanent campaign will end, the era of problem solving will begin".

he is one lame ass speaker. they did 'fix' the prompter problem, they apparently have three set up, one on his right, one center and one on his left. one could tell this by how he would occasionaly squinch his eyes and stumble the words at each position and how there seemed to be no people to look at in between those three positions.

and that audience ... low volume hesitant applause, no energy, no exitement ... reflected his delivery i supppose.

he is SO toast if he goes ahead with those unmoderated town hall debates with obama, although obama will need to take care not to seem like he is 'playing mind games' with a befuddled senior. nobody likes that.

I noticed that as well. He will come off as Kennedy's Nixon if they go head to head on the road. Though I think the idea of unmoderated joint town hall meetings is a good one.
