I'm pretty sick of the vilification of societies that still let people kiss freely to express affection / salutation and so forth, as well. WTF? I hug my friends; I love them. I hug 'em deep and long. I hug strangers, too. I get kissed all the time by friends of my wife, musicians, friends and their spouses - people I've never seen or smelled before. So what? Yay! I say. My aunt kisses me - is that sexy? EW. Stop it.
