Seems like someone that the Bush's would socialize with and that many republicans would appreciate.

Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 7:30 PMHagge has also said that terrorists are agents of God - a point of view shared by the terrorists themselves, I'm sure.
In this case, it's America being punished for supporting a two-state solution in Israel. If that continues, god will 'release the terrorists' already in the U.S. thanks to our lax immigration policy and they'll cause a bloodbath in punishment. You can watch him say so here:

Isn't that an interesting notion? Terrorists just hanging out undercover in the U.S. waiting for the go-ahead from God. -

Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 8:52 PMWhen it comes to Bible scholarship in the former CSA, yawl are like lambs in the wilderness.
I've heard one version or another of Hagee's asshole doctrine spouted by about half the evangelicals, fundamentalists and Pentecostals I knew in the Bible Belt. It's mainstream Christian belief in a bigger chunk of America than many realize.
It's about time this GOP flat rock was overturned...

I do believe that was the view Atta and the boys took of things...

Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 3:48 PMSo why doesn't this make McCain unfit? just another example of the double standards practiced by the republicons. -

I love it. after weeks of lamenting about the irrelevance of the wright issue the very same outraged soldiers for truth are beating the same drums of irrelevance. what a joke this is. -

Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 4:56 PMYogi, you're a clueless spinmeister. Zero critical thinking faculties at all.
McCain SOUGHT THIS GUY OUT, wanting his endorsement to bolster his cred in the fundie crowd. If you don't think that's relevant, why don't you explain to us why not. My guess is you can't, because all types like you and glennyboy can do is sneer condescendingly and vomit forth your fact-free bullshit. -

Yoni, you're right in general, but Kelly seems to have trumped your otherwise reasonable option with this fact, "McCain SOUGHT THIS GUY OUT, wanting his endorsement to bolster his cred in the fundie crowd." If Obama had gone out of his way to hang out with Farrakhan, then he could be rightfully blamed for his own stupidity. -

Wright has said some pretty racist shit, and has a relation ship with Louis Farrahken that goes back to the 80's -

A) I'm not aware of anything racist that Wright said - and Obama broke his friendship from this guy anway
B) Wright is not Farrakhan.

Because, unfortunately, that is the type of political atmosphere we find ourselves in. Where a candidate, from either party, can take realistic stands, with out risking political suicide.
Personally, I think the issue says more about the press then it does about Hagee or McCain

Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 5:01 PMJust pointing out Yoni -- how come wright made obama unfit (to republicons) yet hagee didn't make mc cain unfit (to same). It's a definite double standard. -
-
Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 5:03 PMThat is more an issue with the press and not McCain.
PS Wright made Obama unfit for some Democrats and independents, as well -

And yet we haven't heard any Repuplicans saying McCain's chasing after a guy who declared Hurricane Katrina God's judgement on New Orleans makes him "unfit". Isn't that interesting? -
-
Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 10:44 PMIt is to be hoped this will be the last campaign in which the candidates drag their "spiritual" "mentors" into the spotlight. Both Wright and Hagee are embarrassments and I think ordinary Christians almost have the right to harbor un-Christian resentments of the pair of them.

Re: McCain's Spiritual Adviser: "Nazis Were Divine Agents"
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 10:48 PMLOL, its the GOP. Hagee is a light weight compared to some of the scum that hangs in that part of town
