john lennon proves my point

topic posted Sun, October 28, 2007 - 9:56 AM by  cDub
John Lenin: a man who was clearly another radical leftist said the following:

"If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal."

"Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it. "

"You either get tired fighting for peace, or you die."

"We all have Hitler in us, but we also have love and peace. So why not give peace a chance for once?"

Neocondi, listen to the man. He would be ASHAMED of you! You're a pig! Try giving peace a chance for once instead of your inner Bushitler?

He and Yoko were authority-loathing, far left, love-loving peaceniks to the bitter end.

Seth can't reconcile his Beatles love with his neocon religion. He can't see that both can exist.

          That's his weakness.

yeah, funny thing though sethy, Lennon was plugged full of holes by mark david chapman so it's a bit difficult for him to be the "authority-loathing, far left, love-loving peacenik" these days.

            Lennon 1980

"She (Yoko) inspired all this creation in me. It wasn't that she inspired the songs; she inspired me. The statement in 'Revolution' was mine. The lyrics stand today. It's STILL my feeling about politics. I want to see the plan. That is what I used to say to Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin. Count me out if it is for violence. "

LENNON: "It's not a new message: 'Give Peace a Chance'-- we're not being unreasonable, just saying, 'Give it a chance.' With 'Imagine,' we're saying, 'Can you imagine a world without countries or religions?' It's the same message over and over. And it's positive."

The thing is (my I suggest you read the 1980 playboy inteview) John himself said that as people the beatles don't matter. Only the music. He did not want people to get cought up on him. So you can love his music and not give a shit about his politics. Thats the way he wanted it. You should respect that.

In short, he became more radicalized in a Leftie way.

Then the dope and fucking around got to be too much and he returned to the Yoko womb.

His last act was extreme left politics as personal act: the Rolling Stone cover photo of him curled naked, like a baby, around Yoko, which is, you might say, somewhat against the fuck-em-and-impregnate-em rightie use of female objects. Pure John; vulnerable, in your face, and fully aware he'd piss people off.

Except Seth, who can't seem to graps even the simplest things beyond Right/good, Left/Bad and I love the Beatles and I'm love Bush so therefore John was a budding neocon.

its very sad Ian, that he would need to reshape his hero in his own image. If effect that is why Jhon died, a fan wanted John to be HIS image of of a Beatle. So badly he was willing to kill him over it. All in the name of Jesus.

He HAS to do this, because otherwise, how in the world could Seth continue to idolize/lionize Lennon if Lennon was a Lefty?

And there is the truly hilarious reality: his idol personifies everything he says he hates.

I'll leave it to the armchair psychiatrists to draw any conclusions as to what THAT means.

                Sun, October 28, 2007 - 10:48 PM
Seth was in a boyscout troop headed by John Lennon, in which he was decorated several times for things like learning to kill a full-grown goat with his bare hands and stand at attention for 72 hours while being pelted with rocks and bottles.

When Seth's blindfold came loose halfway through the 20 storey forward repel, he tried to use his non-rope hand to put the blindfold back on and the unstrapped M-60 he was holding in that hand discharged one round. Lennon immediately pulled Seth to the top of the tower, knocked out 2 of his teeth, cut off the kid's clothing in under 15 seconds in subzero weather with a utility knife and sent him, crying, down a zipline into a trench filled with human excrement with the instruction 'you can quit when I say you can quit'.

That John Lennon never quite looked right with a buzzcut or a garland of 'gook' ears across his rippling chest covered in gothic-lettered Nietzsche quotation tattoos, but he was as hard as they come. Just ask anyone who was there. Ask Seth.
                • I had no idea Seth was in any way connected to that favorite old tale. Some of us conservative-style anarchists like to get together and swap grizzled late-era Lennon stories, and that one comes up every now and then. To learn the shit-diver was someone I tribe with is exciting to say the least.

I can't do it (yet) for various reasons, but within a few months look for a downloadable gif of a video showing John Lennon swinging off of an overpass from a rescue line, kicking through the windshield of a VW minibus, taking out both the driver and the front seat passenger with his boots while spraying the back of the bus with rounds from his sidearm, kicking out the back windows, jumping clear, and landing ON HIS FEET while the bus (full of commies) careens through a guardrail and explodes in the ditch below. Fucking fantastic stuff. Makes all that "apache strike" desert-rat footage look like the pansy-coward-boy-pushing-buttons shite it truly is.

I'd have to disagree with Box Man's opinion about the cut, though - I think short hair really suited him - those famous round shades go from being a quaint signature to a kind of hellish annihilation of his living soul, allowing him to access his Inner Warrior and temporarily exist outside the confines of normal mortal existence. He was powerful in all ways.

Won't it be cool if these now-surfacing tales of the Real John Lennon find their way into Seth's next project?
              • The lessons of Lennon

                Sun, October 28, 2007 - 11:01 PM
How about the "Lesson of Lennon", Seth?

What do you think was the lesson that John Lennon wanted to teach to each of us was? Give War a chance?

Do you really think that perhaps all of those hippies were protesting in FAVOR of the Vietnam war?

Perhaps you are telling us that John Lennon became a conservative before he was assassinated?

John Lennon is spinning in his grave as people like you spit on his grave with your astounding hypocrisies.
                • Re: The lessons of Lennon

                  Mon, October 29, 2007 - 1:17 AM
Lennon's ultimate message was that all of society's problems could be solved through the treatment of the lead deficiency epidemic by administration of mass remote injections.

I loved Mr. Bungle's cover of Lennon's song 'Love is a Fist', but Lennon would probably have dismissed it as filthy limp-wristed hippie nonsense.

There wasn't much room left in him for a sense of humor after he burned the deadwood out of his mind, singlehandedly collecting the bounties on all those central African tribal warlords.

Seth came away from even one day under that guy's tutelage lucky ever to be able to look his own reflection in the eye and not collapse from an overwhelming sense of identity betrayal and personal inadequacy. Lennon could not only look straight through your head at what makes you tick. He could spit-shine your proverbial clock face from the inside and make your gears run backwards with one hard word.

The Lennon that the other Beatles always saw deep down and never dared acknowledge was the Lennon that Seth and I saw. He was a man utterly priapic in his need to get his dick wet by poking it into the dark at the end of the tunnel. When Lennon looked into the Abyss, the Abyss blinked, and Lennon knew he had a new bitch. When I asked him what he thought of the Sheen/Brando thing at the end of Apocalypse now, he showed me a video of blind orphans in Bangladesh skinning live kittens and he jerked off right there in front of me... twice.
